Exposure
Overview
I was tasked with creating a website for an upcoming event at the Cal Poly Pomona Kellogg Gallery. The event, an exhibit featuring up-and-coming local photographers, needed a website that would not only promote the event but also provide a seamless experience for visitors to explore the exhibit and RSVP for opening reception events.
After conducting research on modern website design trends, I chose a one-page, long-scroll layout for a smooth, uninterrupted experience. I implemented a fixed header with navigation links that automatically scroll to the corresponding sections when clicked. The page also featured previews of the photographers’ work as users scrolled through, maintaining visual engagement. Additionally, I integrated an RSVP button, which triggered a pop-up overlay, allowing users to sign up for the event without leaving the page.
